The Filloa de Lestedo Festival announces the 4th “Filloarte” Photography Competition

The Lestedo Filloa Cultural Association, in collaboration with the Boqueixón Town Council, has just set in motion the 4th “Filloarte” digital photography competition. This initiative will be held k  the Filloa de Lestedo Festival’s Facebook fan page and official Instagram account.

Those interested in participating have from Friday, January 19, until 11:59 pm on February 11 to email up to two photographs (festadafilloadelestedo@gmail.com) with “Filloarte 2024” or “Filloa de Lestedo 2024” as the subject. Moreover, participants should include their contact data (name, surname, and telephone), as well as the title(s) of their attached photo(s) in their email.

In relation to the subject matter, the pictures should feature one of the following aspects or moments: preparation of filloas, plated filloa presentations, creativities based on filloas, etc. The photos can only show pictures of filloas or their creation, and not identifiable persons. Any photos featuring people will be disqualified.

An album will be made with all the sent photos, placing them in order of arrival. The album will be published on the Filloa de Lestedo Festival’s Facebook and Instagram account on February 12. Voting will take place from then until 11:59 on February 16.

Prizes

The Lestedo Filloa Cultural Association, in collaboration with Boquexión Town Council, is offering four prizes. A professional panel of judges will select the first and second prizes from all the images submitted to the competition. A lay panel of judges, by means of their “likes” on Facebook and Instagram, will choose another first and second prize. The following prizes will be awarded:

  • Two first prizes of a 150-euro voucher that can be used to spend a night in a María Manuel Ecoturismo cabin in Boqueixón.
  • Two second prizes of a 100-euro voucher that can be used to have dinner in Boquexón’s Restaurante O Balado.

The prizes will be awarded on Sunday, February 18, during the break in the XLI Festa de Lestedo open-air dance. The competition rules are available on this document.
